East Berks Berks Scrabble club will be closed on Thursday 23rd and Thursday 30th December 2021.

On Sunday 14^th November 2021 Maureen Barlow and Wanda de Poitiers attended their first Scrabble tournament in almost 2 years. This was held in Manuden and was kindly run by James Burley. There was only one division with 18 people playing. Wanda won 5 of her games and came away with the ratings prize.

A third member of our club Fiona Titcombe also attended as she was already in the area. This was her very first tournament and she performed extremely well having won 4 of her games.

It was wonderful to get back to playing at a tournament again and meeting up with people they hadn’t seen for a while. Stella Burley’s delicious cakes that she had baked were an added highlight to the day.
